How to Love your Body More

It’s something we all battle at some point in our lives. Loving your body more is a journey, not a switch you flip. It's about shifting your mindset, habits, and how you treat yourself over time. Here are some grounded, practical ways to build a better relationship with your body:

Challenge Negative Self-Talk

Start noticing how often you criticize your body—and push back on it. If you wouldn’t say it to a friend, don’t say it to yourself. Try replacing:

  • “I look gross in this” with → “My body deserves kindness, even on hard days.”

  • “I hate my stomach” with → “This is the body that carries me through life.”

Practice Body Neutrality (if positivity feels too far off)

You don’t have to love every part of your body to respect it. Try:

“I don’t have to love my thighs, but I appreciate that they let me walk.”

Talk About It

Body image struggles are super common. Talking with a therapist or trusted friend can help you work through your thoughts and feelings.

Celebrate What Your Body Does

Make a list of things your body lets you do—hugging people, laughing, walking, creating. Focus on functionality over appearance.

Try a Boudoir Session

We’re nervous to hit that BOOK button but I promise that no one steps into the studio with the perfect body they imagine. However, your body is perfect for you! Taking care of you and keeping you alive. Even though, sometimes we may not feel like it. Having a session will show you what you look like from my lens. How others see you; which is always better than what we say to ourselves.
